Terms and Conditions
exhibitionfurniturehire.biz is owned and run by FBT Events Ltd.
1) All contracts of hire shall be deemed to incorporate these terms and conditions. No variation or addition to these conditions is effective unless it is agreed, in writing, by a director of the FBT Events Ltd (herein the Company).
2) The hire prices quoted exclude VAT, which will be added at the prevailing rate at the date of invoice.
3) The hire prices quoted are for the duration of the event for which they are hired up to a maximum of 10 days.
4) The hirer is responsible for the for the hired items once they are delivered to the site of the event for which they are hired, or collected from our premises, and continue until they are collected from the site, or returned to our premises. During the hire period, the hirer will:
i) Keep the hired items in good repair and condition, and in the event of any article being damaged beyond repair or lost by fire, theft or any other cause, will pay the Company the full replacement value of the hired articles plus the original hire charge. In the event of any article being damaged and requiring repair, the hirer will pay the full cost of such repair. The replacement value of the hired items can be obtained on written request from the Company at, or after the time of invoice.
5) The hired items will be delivered to the event or exhibition stand and it is the duty of the hirer to arrange a duly authorised representative to accept the items and provide a written receipt. If the hirer does not provide a representative, the items will be delivered and left at the event or exhibition stand as ordered and the hirer will not be permitted to dispute the facts of delivery and will be deemed to have accepted the delivery.
6) The Company takes no responsibility for personal belongings left in any of the hired items at the end of the event or exhibition.
7) The Company reserve the right to apply a charge to cancelled items. If a cancellation is made after the items are loaded onto transport for dispatch to site then the company reserves the right charge the full hire amount. Please be aware items can be loaded several days before an event. For international shows this may be considerably longer. Show loading times can be obtained on written request from the Company at, or after the time of invoice.
8) Orders received within 5 working days of an exhibition or event, or received on site of an exhibition or event, may be subject to an extra charge.
9) No Liability shall attached to the Company for :
i) Any delay or failure to deliver due to circumstances outside of its control
ii) Damage caused to customers own belongings or goods
iii) Any fixing charges when floor coverings are ordered. Prices do not include the removal at the end of the exhibition or event unless otherwise specified by the Company at time of order.
iv) Any damage or injury cause by misuse of the Company items.
10) The Company reserves the right, at its discretion, to cancel any services under its contract with the hirer in any case where the hirer is in breach of that contract, of any credit arrangements, whether the same be under that contract or any other contract or arrangement between the hirer and the Company.
11) The Company reserves the right to make substitutes, of the same or higher value, without prior warning for furniture that may be unavailable or damaged during transit.
12) Complaints should be submitted in writing during the first day of the event or exhibition so that they can be investigated on site.
13) For exhibitions where the Company is providing official contracting duties the delivery and collection costs are included in the hire charge. For any other event or exhibition, delivery and collection will be charged at the appropriate transport rates. Transport quotes can be obtained at time of order. An invoice for the transport cost with be forwarded to you after time of order.
